Dear One,
With so many hurting souls in this sinful world and with Dr.
Allbright getting up in years now, the Lord has impressed him to
focus more on (1) counseling ministers and counselors so that
they can be healthy spiritually and in turn, more effectively
counsel others. And he is focusing on (2) training
ministers and counselors how to do the type of biblical
counseling he does...thus, multiplying counselors. So, the
workshops are for ministers, counselors, and other persons who
feel the Lord wants them to learn how to counsel people who are
in bondage. There
is no registration fee required for attending a workshop.
Joe counsels two or three volunteer counselees while those
attending observe. As these precious volunteers are blessed by
receiving biblical counseling, they will in turn bless those
attending the workshop by being a beautiful teaching tool,
demonstrating how the Lord can, indeed, set Satan's captives
free and give them peace and joy. And of course, as you
can well understand, no audio or visual recordings are allowed
during the counseling sessions. Thank you for respecting
this rule!

as further encouragement to learn how you also can find freedom
through Jesus Christ.
HOWEVER, you must agree that you
cannot receive counseling at any time during the workshop from
Joe, nor from anyone attending the workshop, as that would
distract and hinder them from the purpose for which they came to
the workshop---to learn how to help hurting people.
Thank you very much for respecting and
understanding this requirement.

NEXT WORKSHOP
THE NEXT WORKSHOP IS
SCHEDULED FOR
SEPTEMBER
27-OCTOBER 1, 2010
MONDAY-FRIDAY FROM 9 A.M. TO 6 P.M. EACH DAY
AT FAIRFIELD BAPTIST
CHURCH (OUR HOME CHURCH)
Dr. Jim Daniel, Senior Pastor
Located at
27240 Highway 290, Cypress, Texas 77433-4907
Fairfield's phone: 281-446-8800 -- Should you need it while in
route to workshop.
THREE REQUIREMENTS
FOR FIRST-TIME WORKSHOP ATTENDEES OF THIS WORKSHOP
(1) You
must read Joe's book, "Liberating the Bruised" before coming
to a workshop so that you are fully informed as to the type
counseling he does. This cuts down a great deal on questions
the attendees would have, which Joe would not have time to
answer at the workshop!
(2) You must fill out an 18-page “Confidential Personal
Inventory” form, and bring it with you to the workshop
where you will only use it privately as you observe how Joe
uses the volunteer counselee’s
form. (Joe only receives the volunteer counselees
forms.)
(3) You must listen to a set-of-five "Counseling the Bruised"
CDs and review the "Counseling the Bruised" syllabus
containing materials and illustrations that Joe talks about
on the CDs. For persons attending the workshop, there
is no charge for the syllabus (extra copies are $5 each).
And, please bring
syllabus with you to the workshop, to use as Joe discusses
things in it.
PLEASE NOTE ABOUT
BOOKS, CD SETS, SYLLABUSES AND COUNSELING FORMS: If
you do not have a book, set of CDs, syllabus or a counseling form,
please
order them from us in plenty of time for you to complete
these requirements before the workshop! Click on
"Order Book/CDs" for prices, please. There is
no charge for the counseling form.
EXTRA NOTE, FUTURE
TOOLS BOOK:
The Lord impressed us to write another counseling book.
So, between regular duties and workshops, we took some time
to write a PARTNER to "Liberating the Bruised". Since
writing the first book, the Lord has shared some additional
truths pertaining to counseling procedures with us.
And, during workshops, while counseling, Joe has often
paused and suggested that ministers and counselors put that
additional information in their "counseling tool box"!
Thus, we have titled our new book, "More Tools for
Liberating the Bruised". We have finished the book and
are HAPPY TO REPORT that we have received the manuscripts
back from the precious volunteers who so
graciously proofed the book for us! So, as soon as
we've made all the corrections, then we will attain the
copyright and locate a printer. And, of course, as
soon as the tools book is in print and available for
purchase, we will send out notices and post it on this
website. Hopefully, it will be ready by the end of
2010! Thank you for your prayers for us
as we labor to complete the task the Lord appointed unto us.
REGARDING CHILDREN
ATTENDING WORKSHOPS
Please know
that we very dearly love children...we are parents and
grandparents ourselves...but the extremely critical subject
matter of the workshop is not for the ears of children, so we
cannot allow children to attend the workshop. And, while
children are most surely a delight to our hearts, they could be
a distraction to the volunteer counselees, others who have come
to learn, and Joe while he is teaching and counseling. We
appreciate everyone understanding and for respecting this
requirement.
BOX-LUNCHES OR BRING YOUR LUNCH
We
suggest that you either purchase the box-lunches or if you
are on a special diet, bring your lunch each day in a cooler
because it usually takes longer than the allotted lunch hour
to go out to eat and return to the church. And, this
way, all of us can enjoy fellowship together as we dine at
the tables in the workshop room.
For your convenience, you may purchase and enjoy generous
and delicious box-lunches from Newk's at $50 for the week.
The menu alternates between large salads and sandwiches with
various sides and desserts, plus sweet and non-sweet tea.
By the week before the workshop, we need a headcount to give
to the church so that they can place the order with Newk's
in ample time. Please make your $50 check or money
order for the box-lunches payable to: Joe E. Allbright
Evang. Assoc., Inc., and mail it to 17014 Summer Dew Lane,
Houston, Texas 77095-1234. Thank you very much!
COFFEE, BEVERAGES, AND SNACKS
Coffee, beverages, and
small snacks during our morning and afternoon breaks
will be graciously provided by our host.

the church, which is located ON THE FEEDER ROAD of 290 between

When you enter the church parking lot off the 290 feeder road,
PLEASE STAY TO THE LEFT of the church. PASS THE FRONT SANCTUARY
and then the NEW SANCTUARY UNDER CONSTRUCTION. The EDUCATIONAL BUILDING is behind
it where parking is available. The REASON for this request is
that the parking area on the right side of the building will be
EXTREMELY busy with many vehicles coming and going pertaining to
CHILDREN’S ACTIVITIES and MOTHER’S DAY OUT.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR
HELPING THINGS RUN MORE SMOOTHLY ON THE PARKING LOT!
DIRECTIONS TO WORKSHOP ROOM
UPON ENTERING THE
EDUCATIONAL BUILDING THROUGH THE DOUBLE DOORS FACING THE FRONT
